Gardening and Maintenance Volunteer

Join us at the Kiwa Centre as a Gardening and Maintenance Volunteer, supporting the lives of 140 parrots on site.

As a Gardening and Maintenance Volunteer you will be involved in the daily care and aviary upkeep of our rescued parrots. Daily tasks at the Kiwa Centre include changing fresh perches and providing browse, planting vegetables and flowers in our polytunnel, beginning our re-foresting journey, and supervised enrichment with our many wonderful parrots!

As our birds have been through horrific conditions prior to being rescued, no two birds are the same! Their confidence with you will come with time.

The site and parrots always have work that needs to be done; your support will go a long way! You will be supporting not only the Kiwa Centre but the World Parrot Trust in our mission to protect parrots in the wild and enrich the lives of those in captive care.

The in-person volunteer opportunities based at the Kiwa Centre in Berkshire, United Kingdom. Please only apply if you can commit to regularly volunteering due to all associated costs with training time, insurances, etc.

Fundraising Volunteer

Join us at the Kiwa Centre as a Fundraising Volunteer, supporting the lives of 140 parrots on site.

As a Fundraising Volunteer you will be involved in increasing supports and gathering funding to support the daily care of our parrots.

This is a remote opportunity with the chance for in-person events to support the work of the World Parrot Trust and the Kiwa Centre. For this role you will help us reach more people through sharing our social media content and promoting our posts.

You can get involved in national events; helping set up, sell merchandise, and educate the public on parrot conservation and welfare. Our goal is to reach as many people as possible, supporting our mission of protecting parrots in the wild and enriching the lives of those in captive care. Your support will go a long way!

As a Fundraising Volunteer, we still offer the opportunity to come visit the Kiwa Centre and learn more about our work to support your role.
